The Best Movies and Shows to Watch for Fall

With it being nearly October, fall is on all of our minds, and to help you get into the Autumn spirit here are some movies and show recommendations that give off a fall vibe.


Gilmore Girls (TV-PG)

Gilmore girls is a show about a mother, Lorali, and a daughter, Rory, who live in a small town, and it's about their everyday life of drama and comedy. It shows the realism of the daughter, Rory, growing up and the struggles that come along with it. It is a warm cozy show and will keep you entertained with all of the obscure pop culture references. This show makes you feel the fuzzy feeling of autumn. Some fall episodes to watch are:

  • Season 5 Episode 7

Dead Poets Society (PG)

Dead Poets Society is a movie made in 1989, starring Robin Williams. The movie is set in 1959 at a Vermont boarding school, Welton Academy. It tells a story of an English teacher who teaches his students through the use of poetry. This movie has a darker feel, but still feels the warmth and the coziness of fall.


It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (not rated)

A classic for the fall season, it's an animated television special made in 1966 based on the comic strip Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz. The cartoon is based on the character Linus waiting on Halloween night for the elusive Halloween symbol to appear.


Hocus Pocus (PG)

Made in 1993, a teenager Max Dennison moves to Salem Massachusetts and accidentally awakens a coven of evil witches. Max with the help of his sister and friend has to stop the witches from becoming immortal. Even though it's a Halloween movie, it gives off major vibes of fall, while also being quirky and family friendly.
