This past summer, the Mt. Juliet High School Volleyball team hosted a youth camp for students in grades 3rd through 8th.
Many students were younger siblings of players on the team and others were from different schools in the Mt. Juliet area. The camp was open to anyone interested in playing volleyball in the future or anyone just looking to have some fun on the court for two days. Head Coach, Meghan Gass, and Assistant Coach, Shane Tipton, lead the camp with lots of fun games and drills. Participants even got a Bears volleyball t-shirt to wear during the camp!
The girls arrived around 9 a.m. on both days and got to set up the nets and warm up with the older girls.
When asked about her favorite part of the camp, Cheyanne Parrish, Defensive Specialist on the team, said, “I really enjoyed getting the chance to bond with the younger girls”
It was a great opportunity for the young ones to learn how to play volleyball and have some fun during summer break. The Mt. Juliet High School volleyball team hopes to host more in the future!
