MJHS Winter Guard Wins Big!


This past Thursday and Friday, Mount Juliet High School’s Winter Guard participated in WGI, Winter Guard International, and placed 18th overall. WGI was held in Dayton, Ohio, and is a competition where winter guard groups from all over the world compete. The MJHS Winter Guard went through the three different rounds of competition, preliminaries, semi-finals and finals, they competed in the Scholastic A Category with 95 other groups.


All 96 groups competed in the preliminary competition, but only 56 made it to the semi-finals, and from there only 20 made it to the finals. Our team made it all the way to the finals and placed 18th with a score of 84.46. They competed with the routine Working the Line.
