MJHS Shuts out Lebanon in Soccer

The Mt. Juliet Bears went up against the Lebanon Blue Devils on the soccer field on April 21 with a new officiating crew and less penalties than the previous game. The Bears scored rlatively early in the first half, with a 1-0 score ten minutes into the game. Over the next half hour, the ball went back and forth between players and teams, with no points being scored for the rest of the half. In the second half, both teams really got going, racking up almost 40 total shots on goal. Both teams put up a stout defense, and a speedy offense, keeping the ball in motion. The second and final goal was scored with just under nine minutes left in the second half, putting the Bears at a 2-0 lead over the Blue Devils, who were unable to recover, putting the Bears at a 3-9-2 record.
