MT. JULIET, Tenn. -- Thursday night was quite eventful for Willoughby Station residents near Sydney Terrace and Brisbane Drive.

Former Buffalo Bills linebacker, Jimmy Robinson, was charged with aggravated assault. Teens went knocking on doors and hiding when the owners answered as a prank otherwise known as “ding-dong-ditch.”

This continued until the four teens that were pranking this neighborhood rang the wrong door bell, and that was Mr. Robinson's door.

Around 9:35 p.m. Robinson had got in his car and drove around until he spotted the teens.

Robinson drew a handgun and ordered two of the five teens to get out of their vehicle. The teens that remained in the vehicle and called the police who showed up within 10 minutes.

By the time the police arrived, they saw numerous individuals standing in the roadway.

Robinson has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault. One teen was charged with trespassing onto Robinson's property and 20-year-old James Davison was cited for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

Robinson, 43, attended Western Illinois University before spending one season with the Buffalo Bills. After that, he joined the Nashville Fire Department last December and is now an EMT.

The Public Information Officer at the Nashville Fire Department, Joseph Pleasant, issued a statement on Robinson's arrest: “We are aware of the charges against EMT Jimmy Robinson Jr. He is assigned to alternate duty in a non-safety related role pending an internal investigation.”

Robinson has posted bail on Friday and has been released from custody. It is unclear whether he has a lawyer to comment on his behalf.
