Well, it’s that time of the year again. The temperature is lowering and the leaves are changing colors and with this comes agriculture day.
Ag day will be taking place on Sept. 29 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
The entire day will be ran by Lindsey Nicholas, Mitzi Pigg, Jake Hammond and Shana Boetler, who are four teachers at Mount Juliet High School.
“We all have our own departments,” said Lindsey Nicholas.
A multitude of students will be helping out in teaching fellow students about the animals and the managing the animals.
“The students are a huge help,” Nicholas said. “They help control the traffic and keep people moving.”
The return of animals from previous years will be seen. For example, cows and horses, but there are a few new additions.
“We’ll have horses and cows and the usual farm animals,” Nicholas said. “We were going to get a camel but that didn’t happen. But we are getting a fainting goat and a horse with its anatomy painted on it.”
With ag day right around the corner and fall creeping up, it is safe to say that people will be very excited for many reasons.
